WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING TO DAY CAMP? Sneakers, sporty clothes, rain gear, lunch, snack, natural bug spray please, sun protection, filled water bottle and a hat,
(Any cell phones need to be left with instructors at start of camp and will be returned at the end of the day.
(NO EXCEPTIONS) camp always has a mobile phone for emergency use.
***NOTE ON KEEPING CAMP HEALTHY*** We are completely outside with lots of fresh air and sunshine. We have a pavilion for rain. Frequent Hand Washing will be protocol. Let's ALL get out into the fresh air and sunshine!

Cash payments will need to be brought to our office in downtown Asheville by appointment only. Check address will be given in registration.
Cancellation Policy
If a camper cancels registration within 6 weeks of camp for any reason camp tuition will be lost. Before 6 weeks cancellation, camp cost will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee.
This is due to the cost of running the camp, Renting the land, buying supplies and paying for an assistant and insurance which all must be done ahead of time. We are a small, locally run camp. Thanks for understanding.

The National LEADER IN Children's Safety Empowerment Education
Alexandra Tait is a certified radKIDS Instructor. radKIDS was created by a police officer who was tired of seeing all of the abused, abducted and "permanently missing" children in his district. He knew many of the programs out there were not working because they were not based on real life modern situations he was all too familiar with in the Police Force. He was so inspired he quit the police force and created radKIDS.
A decade later, with a small army of trained Instructors who then trained over 300,000 children in the United States directly saved over 125 children's lives. The children used their radKIDS smarts and radKIDS moves to stay safe.
According to a January 2020 article North Carolina ranked 6 in the nation for HUMAN TRAFFICKING.

GRADUATION IS A LIVE ABDUCTION SIMULATION OF A MAN (secret police officer) IN A PADDED SUIT TRYING TO STEAL YOUR CHILD AWAY. KIDS UNLEASH THEIR RADKIDS "MOVES" TO GIVE THEM THAT LITTLE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY TO RUN TO SAFETY AND DIAL 911. we teach them to yell loud, hit hard and run fast! THE EVENT IS FILMED AND PLAYED FOR THE CHILD. this is VERY EMPOWERING TO WATCH.
NOTE: The live abduction scenario with a padded police officer is NOT part of the day camp for insurance reasons. However it IS part of a regular radKIDS TRAINING.
radKIDS is a 10 hour program for 4-12 year olds. It is usually broken up into 5 classes depending on the age of the students. Children are separated by age and learning styles. Day Camp is for 8-15 year olds.
RADkids programs can be created for:
4-7 year olds
8-12 yr. olds
Book a private RADkid training. Minimum amount of students is 6. Max is 12 students.
A RADkid only program is much more in depth than the Day Camp training.

"I had the privilege of spending a day with Alexandra at one of her camps last summer.
The archery was awesome! I had never done archery before. With Alexandra’s coaching, I was hitting the target in no time, and the kids really seemed to enjoy it too.
I liked how she had the camp set up. It was a very hot day, but there was ample shade and airflow, and water for cooling off with, and hand washing.
I loved the total nature immersion. No devices!
