Archery Lessons for Everyone! Women, Men and Children...
We Practice Traditional Field Archery on Recurve Bows Outside
All Instruction is completely outside. Lesson includes All Equipment, stretch warm up, Lesson and supervised shooting for 60-90 minutes depending on group size. There is pavilion with picnic tables and chairs at the range. Lots of parking available. An old timey outhouse is available. It is recommended that you take care of your bathroom needs before your lesson.
Minimum age for Archery lesson is 8
Absolute minimum age 6. A parent or guardian must shoot with the 6 or 7 year old child at all times. We use real arrows and they can be dangerous. Bows and arrows are not toys.
LOCATION; Leicester, North Carolina. 20 minutes from downtown Asheville at the Private Blue Ridge Bowhunters Club. 283 Sluder Branch Rd. Leicester N.C. Range only staffed by appointment except for the occasional squirrel. Range is about 25 minutes North of Asheville N.C. Bring a full water bottle to your lesson and sporty clothes.

Cost
Archery Lessons cost $40 per person ages 16 and up. $25 for children age 8-15.
One person private lesson is $55 regardless of age. We suggest to have a child shoot with their favorite adult
Two People is $40 each total
Private Group 3 or more people. $20 for the private lesson FLAT FEE and $35 per head up to 10 people,
($35 each adult for the public Sunday group shoot)
Every 3 people require an $8 refundable arrow deposit given in cash at the start of the lesson and hopefully returned as long as there are no lost or broken arrows at the end of the lesson. Arrow deposits are only in cash.
Ex. A group of 6 require a $16 arrow deposit.
CLASS DEPOSIT TO HOLD YOUR LESSON. All Lessons require at least a $25 -$50 non refundable deposit to hold your lesson depending on the size of your group. If you don't show you lose your deposit.
Lessons can be paid on pay pal, venmo or local check in advance or cash. A popular way is to put the deposit on pay pal and pay the remainder in cash at the start of the lesson.

We can come to you for your private event with equipment and Target for an additional fee to cover travel expenses, set up, an assistant and additional insurance.

IF ITS RAINING OR UNDER 40 DEGREES DOES IT RESCHEDULE THE PRIVATE CLASS? Yes. Call an hour before to make sure.

CAN I BRING MY DOG OR OTHER PET TO CLASS? Sorry, no animals on the range. We wouldn't want to shoot them but.. it might be fun trying. (only kidding)
IS THERE SHADE AT THE RANGE? There is always tree shade or a wood pavilion available with chairs.
ARE THERE BATHROOMS AT THE RANGE? There is an old fashioned out house. If you are fussy best to take care of your bathroom needs before you come so you can be present for the lesson.
CAN I BRING MY COMPOUND BOW OR CROSS BOW TO CLASS. No, forbidden.
CAN I WATCH MY KID OR FRIEND DO ARCHERY? Yes, as long as they are comfortable with it.
IS ARTEMIS ARCHERY ASHEVILLE INSURED? Of course! However, everyone is still required to sign a waiver when the arrive on property.
WHAT DO I WEAR? Close toed shoes or boots are required. No sandals, flip flops or high heels. No loose fitting clothes that may get caught in the bow string. Leave your jewelry at home. Bow strings and hoop earrings are a gruesome combination!
BRING YOUR OWN FILLED WATER BOTTLE. and natural bug spray if you like.
